Mission

Build software and AI agents that take real work off small businesses, and sell only what truly serves them.

Vision

A world where small businesses have software and AI built around them, and their people spend their time on the work they’re best at.

The story behind Strix

I grew up in my father’s car dealership, and I’ve been taking electronics apart since I was a kid. Business was the world I knew: customers, employees, good months and hard ones. Technology was what I played with. I’ve been bringing the two together ever since.

I spent years in a small technology company, working on every part of it, from operations to the systems our clients relied on. What I loved most never changed: getting into the weeds of a business, understanding how it really works, and finding a better way to do something. Nothing beats the moment a client sees it working and their day gets easier.

Today, AI makes that work bigger than it has ever been. I believe it’s one of the most important things people have ever built, and that it can help us learn, heal, discover and create in ways we’re only starting to see. I started Strix to bring that to the businesses I care about most, the small ones, where every hour matters. And to do it the right way, building only what truly helps.

Why “Strix”

Strix is Latin for owl: a nod to wisdom, to the long history of human knowledge, and to the nature we’re all part of.

“Most small businesses have a problem nobody has had time to solve. I love finding it, building the fix, and handing the owner their time back.”

BELIEFS

What we believe

AI is the biggest change to how work gets done in our lifetime.

We’re optimistic about it, and we take its limits seriously.

Custom software is no longer only for big companies.

AI has made it practical to build a system around a single small business. We’ve done it.

Most small businesses don’t need more AI.

They need the right amount, in the right place.

We only sell what serves you.

If something would make us money without helping you, we won’t sell it. Our advice starts from your interest.

People make the calls.

AI takes the busywork. People decide.

Our agents carry our values.

Anything we build should be honest about what it did, clear about what it can’t do, and answerable to a person.

Prove it, then scale.

Start with the busywork, show it works, and grow only what earns its place. If your team can’t run it on Monday, we didn’t finish the job.

We say what we don’t know.

Sometimes the honest answer is “not yet.” Every number we publish has a source.
